Every program or device needs to be able to read e-mail and newsgroups, John. _Every single one_. It's the cultural imperative of the electronic age. Didn't you get that memo? How you can work in a job that involves electrons and not know this, I can't imagine, but God knows where I'd be if I couldn't get my e-mail on my phone, pager and cell, browse the web on my one-inch-square cellphone screen and check my banking information with my pager. I have no idea how people ever managed to go to the bathroom without stock quote updates on their Blackberrys. Just think of how much time you'd waste otherwise? What happens if your stocks dip while you dump? What do you do then? You're screwed, that's what. If you can't get that hot stock tip from your pager to Ameritrade through your toothbrush, you're _fucked._ All 'cause you took your eye off the ball for long enough to pinch a loaf - too goddamn long by today's standards. Sheesh. And you call yourself an electrical engineer. You... Whoops, gotta go. Something's beeping - it's my... My... er... Oh, fuck... -- Mike Hoye
