With sufficent mutant power, this isn't an issue.

<  A giant spike suddenly explodes out of the ground, driving
itself through the rectum of the speaker and out the speaker's
mouth. The speaker gurgles in excrutiating pain, ampliflied
a few seconds later when a forest of smaller spikes thrust out
from the main one. Finally, the  speaker's skin suddenly
explodes into flame. The speaker screams in horrific pain
for several more seconds before mercifully expiring. >
