Er, uh...where was I?  Oh yeah.  Respect is not what you want, sir.  You
want to find out, nay, you're _determined_ to find out why it's "the
Magnificent!" yet you're unwilling to spring for the dinn...er, uh come up
with the customary and, I might add, quite suitably reasonable
compensation.

In short, you, sir, are attempting to mooch a pootch.
