Having been a Bay Arean for narian twelvian yeareans, I must throw my experience into this discussion. "Hella" is a word that is used frequently in the East Bay. "Dude. Your hella usin' that word all the time." All the people that I grew up with used it. "I'm hella bored." People at school used it. "That test was hella lame. _Hella_ lame." People I worked with used it. "Man, I'm hella pissed that the boss won't give me next weekend off." "Dude, he's hella givin you every other weekend off!" People used it at the car wash. "My car is _hella_ dirty!" People used it in bed. "That was a hella good time. Your _hella_ big." People used it when they were ordering food. "Give me the hella huge soda." I still use it every now and then. What can I say? I'm hella dumb. -- Drew Gillmore http://www.spacebrain.com/sketch Key Features: Drew's Reality, Mini-FAQ, Ebonics Dictionary.
