Frankly, I'm getting a little tired of all this talk about Novak. Novak this, Novak that... it's all just a little cliched at this point, y'know? You people need to diversify a little bit, so let me offer myself up for consideration as the new standard guy for losers to whine about. I can be arrogant; I can be a real prick; and hell, I've got a killfile with nearly as many entries as Novak's sig has bites. That's got to count for something. So why am I not seeing posts accusing people of being "Kozlowski clones", posts whining about the "Kozlowski group mind", posts complaining that everyone is "just sucking up to Kozlowski"? Frankly, I'm a little disappointed. Now, I realize that those of you who come to rasfwrj in the metaphorical short bus are probably going to have some difficulties with this proposal. First of all, I doubt any of you could spell my name right without a hefty dose of luck. But hey, I'm here to encourage you: don't worry about it! Misspelling my name will just lend an air of authenticity to your whines. Secondly, it might take too much creative energy for you to turn me into the villain who rules your puny little world. With Novak, there's so much prior art out there that you can get by without ever having to have an original thought of your own -- definitely a plus for people incapable of original thought. Alas, there's not nearly as much easy anti-Kozlowski rhetoric out there for the grabbing, so let me seed the pool a bit to get you started with some ideas: 1. My name is obviously Polish -- why not try Polish jokes? 2. Kozlowski starts with a K -- consider possible Nazi allusions, or perhaps a "Komrade" to imply a connection to Communism. 3. I have certain weasel associations -- implying that I'm weaselly could be just what you're looking for. 4. I live in Wisconsin -- possibilities for cheesehead references abound. So there you are: four easy ideas to get you started in writing posts vilifying me. There are no more excuses for cheap and easy anti-Novak posts any more. Let's get this group going in a new direction. -- Mike Kozlowski http://www.ssc.wisc.edu/~mkozlows/
